Our members are working to help get public botanical gardens online with an interactive tour guide accessible from their visitors' smart phones (read more). This is a great community service project, so help us help some of the greatest gardens in the world.

If you have a plant database you would like to donate, please contact us.

Instructions

Want to learn how you can help? We've randomly selected 100 plants that we need help on. Here's what you can do:
  1. Search - Sometimes plants are listed different ways, so search Landscapedia to see if we have the plant under a different name.
  2. Google - Find more information on the web for the plant.
  3. Add - If we don't have it, you can add it. We ask that you put as much information as you can get about the plant using Google and reference books.
  4. Edit - In the process of building inventories, invariably, something is spelled wrong. Fixing it will check the database again with the correct name.
  5. Delete - On occassion, a tour coordinator will upload a jumbled file which gets added as garbage. If you run across a garbage entry, trash it for us.
  6. Pictures - Upload your image for the plants. If you search the web for an image, we ask that you only upload images that are not copyrighted. These images are usually under the Creative Commons license and do not contain a watermark. Better yet, exercise your creativity and take pictures with your camera!
